Sita attained her Ph.D. in Banking and Finance 2001 from the Swiss Banking Institute, University of Zurich, summa cum laude. One year later, her doctoral thesis on the “Prudence in Swiss Banking; the Prevention and Eradication of Corruption and Corruption Money Laundering” was heralded with the Annual Research Award from the Unversity of Zurich. Sita initiated her undergraduate studies in Engineering at the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology from where she later transfered to the University of Zurich. In 1999 she graduated with a Master’s Degree in Economics and Business Administration. Her academic path led her among others to Leonard N. Stern School of Business, New York University,

Inholland University, Netherlands, and University of the Fraser Valley and Capilano College, Vancouver, Canada. Currently, Sita is a Professor at IFZ Institute for Financial Services Zug/Lucerne University of Applied Sciences and Arts and among others also teaches at the Swiss Accounting Academy. Important steps in her professional experience include the Swiss Federal Banking Commission, UBS AG, oprandi & partner ag, ABB, Benet AG and her former company, Dr. Sita Mazumder Consulting. She is on the Board of Directors of various companies, among them the foundation Ombudscom, and moreover, she's a columnist for the Swiss National Television. Sita also works as a model and lives primarily in Zurich.
